Hello, Dear Reader, and thanks for taking a minute to share a place in space. My space is pretty simple. I love Jesus, my family, and His kids. I also have two burning passions: helping G0d’s kids and writing. God’s calling on my life is a blessing that allows me to translate my passions into connecting with, encouraging, and empowering others.
For decades, I thought that was my calling was to be an educator, but it was just G0d’s powerful training ground. It was in the classroom that my students taught me the most important (at least to me) things about connecting through stories, and using them to encourage others.
Serving in an urban school district I learned that EVERYONE has a story. Through our shared stories we find connections with others. Our stories can also provide voices of encouragement and empowerment to those around us.
Following God’s calling to connect, encourage, and empower others has been a challenging, circuitous route at times. It has taught me that God has a specific purpose for each of us, and He is more than able to use mistakes and missteps to work out His purpose and will through us. Now, I get to use the lessons He and others taught me in the classrooms of life along the way. I hope you’ll stick around to discover connections, be encouraged, and perhaps even empowered.
